K-Dramas!

In the middle of December(2017), I started watching K-dramas for the first time. I’ve heard of them before, but they never really interested me. Then one night, I decided to give it a shot. I figured what the hell, right? Oh man, I didn’t know what I was getting into.

The very first K-drama that I watched was Boys Over Flowers. Now when I started this, it was definitely a different experience. I had no idea what I was getting into. Honestly, I wasn’t in love with this drama, but I did find myself invested, and wanting to know how it would end. And by the end, I found myself wanting more. 612a03fc078a04875ed00c5a2c6f5cac

Then I was recommended The Heirs. I started this show and was instantly hooked. Way more than I was with Boys Over Flowers. I found myself so invested in the story and the characters. And when I finished The Heirs, that was it. I knew I was screwed. I knew that I was going to be sucked into the world of K-Dramas for awhile. And I was right. Since then I’ve watched about 10 K-Dramas.

The dramas that I’ve watched so far include:

  • Boys Over Flowers
  • The Heirs
  • Oh My Ghostess
  • Lets Fight Ghost
  • Goblin
  • Master’s Sun
  • Fight My Way
  • Legend of the Blue Sea
  • Marriage, Not Dating
  • 1% of Something
  • Strong Woman Bo Bong-Soon

I plan to make a list of my absolute favorite K-Dramas that I’ve watched. I would love to know your favorites, or some recommendations.

#FridayReads [4]

Today, and this weekend, I’ll be rereading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It has been quite awhile since I last read this book, so I thought a reread was due! Plus its 10 year bookaversary is coming up!

When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with odd markings. This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons–and keeping the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It’s also her first meeting with gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in an ordinary mundane like Clary? And how did she suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know….

For those of you who don’t know, this is the first book in The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. The same series the TV show Shadowhunters is based off of. Have you read this series? Do you watch the show?
