Waiting on Wednesday

It’s time for WWW Wednesdays, at Taking on a World of Words. If you don’t know how it works, you simply answer the three W questions below!

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next, and/or what are you eagerly awaiting?

What am I currently reading?

I decided to pick up this book because I wanted something pretty short and this is only about 200 pages. I picked this up on a whim when it was free on ebook. I’m only about 10 percent in so far, and I don’t have many thoughts as of now.

What did I recently finish?

There’s Someone Inside Your House was my most recent read, and it was an okay one. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t a bad read either. Just okay. I’m still debating if I want to post my thoughts or not. I also watched the movie, so maybe I could do a book and movie discussion?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I honestly don’t know at the moment.

What about you guys? What are you currently reading? What have you recently finished? And what do you plan on reading next?

Would You Rather || Book Tag

I randomly came across this tag over at loisreadsbooks and thought it would be a fun one! So here we go!

Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?

Trilogies! I love being with a story, the world, and characters for a while. So I definitley prefer trilogies!

Would you rather shop at Waterstones or Amazon?

I’ve never been to a Waterstones mainly because we don’t have one. So I’m just going to assume it could also be any bookstore, and of course I’d choose a bookstore. There’s just something about browsing the shelves that makes me happy!

Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?

TV Shows! I prefer tv to movies as it is. I love when books are adapted into shows, because I feel like you get more time with the story and characters. However, I know some adaptations fit better as movies, but I definitely prefer shows.

Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

Definitely 5 books per week. I don’t think I could just read 5 pages a day.

Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?

Reviewer! Even though I struggle with writing reviews, I don’t think I could ever write a story. I wish I could, but no. I would definitely be better at reviewing all the amazing stories others create!

Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?

Oh this is interesting. Probably a librarian. No reason other than I just think I’d prefer it more.

Would you rather read only your favourite genre, or every other genre but your favourite?

Oh this is difficult…let’s see…favorite genre? Every other genre but my favorite? UGHHH…I’m struggling with this one. I think I’d have to go with read only my favorite genre??? Maybe…GAHHHH this is hard. Okay, yeah, I’m going to stick with read only my favorite genre. Final answer.

Would you rather only read e-books or physical books?

See, if you asked me this years ago, it would without a doubt have been physical books. But now, shockingly, I’d have to go with e-books. And only for the convience. You just can’t beat it…Oh wow… I honesly can’t believe I said e-books. I’m surprised myself!

And that’s it for the tag! What about you? What would your answers be?

Thanksgiving Feast Book Tag || Happy Thanksgiving!

I came across this tag over at Elley the Book Otter page and thought lets do this! So here’s the Thanksgiving Feast Book Tag!

Turkey: The centerpiece of any Thanksgiving Feast, but it’s always dry and actually isn’t that great… – A book that everyone likes, for some reason that completely escapes you.

You by Caroline Kepnes. I’ve tried to read this book a couple of times now, and I just can’t seem to get into it. I think this one is just not for me. (Also, I haven’t watched the show yet, but I do want to check it out)

Stuffing: Warm and filling, and best when smothered with gravy – A comfort read.

For me, this would be the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare! At this point I’ve reread them multiple times(at least The Mortal Instruments), and I still feel like I’m finding things that I missed. And each time, I get sucked back into the world!

Potatoes: Boil ’em, mash ’em, stick ’em in a stew – A book that’s great in any format – hardcover, digital, audio…

I believe the A Good Girls Guide to Murder books by Holly Jackson are perfect in any format! I’ve read the first two books, three ways. I listen to the audiobook for both, while reading the hardcover for the first book, and the ebook for the second! I enjoyed them each way.

Green Bean Casserole: the obligatory side dish that you have to have… whether you want it for not. – A book that you were obligated to read (for school, for a book club, because it was a gift…)

There were a lot of books that I had to read for school that I didn’t enjoy, but they’re also some that I did. So I thought I’d share one that I did enjoy. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. I will admit, it has been awhile since I’ve read this, but I remember being so surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. I do wonder if I were to reread this, what I would think of it now.

Jello Salad: Look, this is dessert, how on earth does jello with bits of fruit and marshmallows and whipped cream get classified as ANY sort of salad? – A book that is really bizarre.

I honestly can’t think of a really bizarre book that I’ve read off the top of my head…hmm…

Cranberries: Do you serve real cranberries, or canned cranberry jelly? A book that is highly divisive – and you have strong opinions about it.

I’m going to have to steal her answer and say Twilight! It gets a lot of flack, and I really don’t think it deserves it. Of course it has it’s flaws, but I think it’s a series that will always be important to people!

Pie: Whether it’s pumpkin, apple, pecan, or French silk, it’s not Thanksgiving without pie – A book you can’t live without.

I’m going to have to repeat an answer and go with the Shadowhunter series as a whole. I’ve been reading these books for a very long time, and I just can’t imagine what it be like to not have this series, and these characters! I absolutely love this series!

Happy Halloween!

Would you rather walk through a graveyard at midnight or spend a night in a spooky abandoned old house?

Walk through a graveyard!

Would you rather dunk for apples or carve a jack-lantern?

Carve a jack-o-lantern!

Would you rather meet a vampire or meet a werewolf?

Vampire!

Would you rather get a surprise visit from Frankenstein’s monster or a surprise visit from The Headless Horseman?

Do I have to pick one? Maybe…Oh who knows!

Would you rather spend Halloween night at a haunted house or spend the night at a cemetery?

Probably at a cemetery…as long as I’m not alone!

Would you rather go trick or treating or stay home and watch a scary movie?

Stay at home and watch a scary movie for me!

Would you rather be a ghost or a zombie?

Ghost!

Would you rather go to a real haunted house or watch a horror movie marathon?

Horror movie marathon!

Would you rather have a Halloween party or a Christmas party?

Oh definitely Christmas!

Would you rather go trick or treating with a group of friends or with a group of family members?

Either would be a fun time!

Happy Halloween!

halloween-outfitsHappy Halloween everyone! I hope you’re having fun, and being safe! Let me know what you were for Halloween!

I thought it would be fun to just answer a few Halloween related questions. So here we go:

1) What was your favorite Halloween costume?

When I was a kid, I went as Pocahontas for 3 years straight! That was, and still is one of my favorite movies, so I loved that costume!

2) What is your favorite horror movie and/or TV Show?

I don’t really have a horror movie that I love to watch. I’ve seen so many, it’s hard to decide. Possibly Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Or the Halloween movies. As for TV Shows, this isn’t really scary(sometimes the episodes can be), but SUPERNATURAL! I think it’s a brilliant choice. Plus it’s on the tv right now as I’m typing this!

3) What is your favorite candy?

I love Twizzlers. I have an addiction!

4) How far would you last in a horror movie?

I would totally survive a horror movie because my ass would be out as soon as people start dying. PEACE OUT BITCHES!!!

5) Would you rather walk through a graveyard at night or spend the night in a spooky abandoned house?

That depends. Would the Winchesters brothers be with me in the abandoned house? Because I would so do that if they were. If not, the graveyard it is!

WHICH IS SCARIER?

– Werewolves or Vampires?

Vampires.

– Ghosts or Zombies?

Definitely Ghosts for me!

– Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?

Both are creepy as hell, but I guess I would choose the clowns!

– Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, or Leatherface?

Without a doubt, 100%, Freddy freakin Krueger. I HATE him!
