Companion/Sequel/Other- Twilight Reimagined!
This was my first read of 2016, and I have to say, I quite enjoyed it! This story brought me back into the world of Twilight, which I haven’t been in awhile! It definitely made me want to reread the original as well, so I’m thinking I may do a reread of the saga this year.
This story follows the same story as Twilight, however with some changes in the scenes, and dialogue to work with the gender swap! It does take some time to get adjusted to these characters. I admit that I definitely had a hard time picturing Beau and Edthye because I was so use to the original characters. However, once you’re able to do that you do get to enjoy these characters. My favorite was Archie, who is this books Alice!
The ending! I really enjoyed the ending of this book! It was fun to see how Twilight could have ended if it was just a standalone book. I’m glad I got to see this alternate ending, however I do feel as though it was rushed. I do prefer the original ending for Twilight. This ending also made me a bit depressed. Because of Beau changing, he had to fake his own death and he never got to apologize for what he said to Charlie before he left, and you can tell how he regrets that. It was upsetting, and I’m glad that wasn’t the original ending!
I honestly believe people had too high expectations, and were expecting a bit much from this story. Going into this I expected a fun, enjoyable, slightly different story because of the gender swap, and that’s what I got. I honestly believe because I wasn’t expecting a lot, I enjoyed it more than others.
You have to enjoy this story for what it is. A fun, enjoyable story that Stephenie wrote for the fans. Also for those saying that this was published for just a cash grab, I have to disagree. A tenth anniversary edition would have been published anyway, this was just something fun that she though the fans would enjoy. Enjoy it for what it is, and I think you’ll have fun with this story!
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you’re having fun, and being safe! Let me know what you were for Halloween!
I thought it would be fun to just answer a few Halloween related questions. So here we go:
1) What was your favorite Halloween costume?
When I was a kid, I went as Pocahontas for 3 years straight! That was, and still is one of my favorite movies, so I loved that costume!
2) What is your favorite horror movie and/or TV Show?
I don’t really have a horror movie that I love to watch. I’ve seen so many, it’s hard to decide. Possibly Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Or the Halloween movies. As for TV Shows, this isn’t really scary(sometimes the episodes can be), but SUPERNATURAL! I think it’s a brilliant choice. Plus it’s on the tv right now as I’m typing this!
3) What is your favorite candy?
I love Twizzlers. I have an addiction!
4) How far would you last in a horror movie?
I would totally survive a horror movie because my ass would be out as soon as people start dying. PEACE OUT BITCHES!!!
5) Would you rather walk through a graveyard at night or spend the night in a spooky abandoned house?
That depends. Would the Winchesters brothers be with me in the abandoned house? Because I would so do that if they were. If not, the graveyard it is!
WHICH IS SCARIER?
– Werewolves or Vampires?
Vampires.
– Ghosts or Zombies?
Definitely Ghosts for me!
– Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?
Both are creepy as hell, but I guess I would choose the clowns!
– Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, or Leatherface?
Without a doubt, 100%, Freddy freakin Krueger. I HATE him!
So I’ve always been a fan of The Vampire Diaries. I’ve been watching since Season 1 and have overall loved the show. I’ll admit, some seasons were better than others, but that happens with all shows. I was both hesitant and excited for season 7 because(SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SEASON 6…although I’m pretty sure most of you know this) Nina Dobrev-Elena Gilbert, has left the show. I loved how they decided to let her go. So going into Season 7 I was both excited and hesitant.
So how do I feel now? Well now I’m just excited! From is trailer it looks as though it will focus less on romance, but let’s get real it’s The Vampire Diaries so romance will be a factor, however it doesn’t seem like the main focus this season. From the trailer it looks like this season will be darker, and filled with a lot of action. In my opinion, this should make for a great season. I’m excited to see Stefan and Damon’s mom, and seeing more of what she can and will do. That’s going to make for some interesting TV.
So how are you feeling about this trailer?
Here are some of the TV Shows returning this fall that I’m really excited for! Of course they’re other shows that I’ll be watching, but these are my tops ones! What shows are you excited for?

Gotham- Returning: September 21st
Once Upon A Time- Returning: September 27th
Supernatural- Returning: October 7th
