What am I currently reading?

I decided to pick up this book because I wanted something pretty short and this is only about 200 pages. I picked this up on a whim when it was free on ebook. I’m only about 10 percent in so far, and I don’t have many thoughts as of now.

What did I recently finish?

There’s Someone Inside Your House was my most recent read, and it was an okay one. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t a bad read either. Just okay. I’m still debating if I want to post my thoughts or not. I also watched the movie, so maybe I could do a book and movie discussion?

What do you think you’ll read next?

I honestly don’t know at the moment.

So this weekend I’ll be reading American Sniper by Chris Kyle. Honestly, this is completely different from anything that I usually read. I rarely read autobiographies, but I saw this one at my thrift store for 50 cents and I couldn’t pass it up. I know a movie was made from this, which I have yet to watch.

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan (“the devil”) and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALs, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions. This autobiography caught my attention and so far I’m 30ish pages into it and am quite enjoying it! Have you guys read this book? Have you watched the movie? What are your thoughts?

Emma Watson shared the poster from her upcoming movie Beauty and the Beast! There’s so much anticipation surrounding this movie, and I admit I’m so excited to see it. Now with the release of this poster, I’m ten times more excited to see it! This poster is absolutely stunning! And I truly believe this movie will be worth the wait!

Book Review || The 5th Wave

Companion/Sequel/Other- 1st book!

This will contain SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! This was my first Rick Yancy read, and I’m glad hat I picked this one! This book starts off with the others ship landing on earth. Everything was quite for ten days. After the tenth day…all hell broke loose.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. I knew it was about aliens and an invasion, but that’s all I knew. I really loved this take on the story. The waves and different stages of attack. I found myself wanting to keep reading, because I wanted to know what was going to happen. I could say it was the characters, which in some part it was. But.i really think it was Rick Yancey’s writing. There’s something about his writing that keep me invested!

The characters were fantastic. Going into this, I had NO IDEA this was told in different perspectives. Here I am reading from Cassie’s perspective, and then all of sudden it’s talking about someone being called Zombie. I was like what the hell? Afterward, it’s easy to differentiate whose point of view! My favorite to read from is Ben. I found his story to be the one that I was most invested in!

Cassie is such a strong, sarcastic and funny character! It was great to read from her and get her point of view of the invasion. We follow Cassie as she tries to get to her brother Sammy who gets taken to Wright Patterson(Camp Haven) a supposed safe zone! She goes through so much on the way including meeting Evan, the man who shoots and saves her!

Evan is cool, and very bad-ass, but also creepy in my opinion. When I was reading it I just found some of the things he did and said to be creepy. I like him as a character, but I’m hoping we get to read more from his perspective in the next book! Maybe I won’t find him to be as creepy!

Ben is my favorite! He’s strong, loyal and he makes a good leader. I loved his relationship with Nugget(Sammy). It was so cute! I loved that he went back for Nugget when he found out the truth, and went back for Cassie at the end when he could’ve easily left her.

Speaking of the ending, it was my favorite part of this whole book! I loved how we were reading from the different perspectives and then it all comes together: Cassie, Ben, Evan, and Nugget(Sam). The ending had me pulled in, and Cassie, Ben and Evan make a hell of a team! I wouldn’t want to be on the bad side of them!

Trailer Reaction: Now You See Me 2

I was so excited when it was announced that a sequel to Now You See Me was going to be made! I really love the first movie, mainly because of how much fun it is! And from this trailer, it looks like it’s going to be just as fun!

I loved how all the characters/actors worked so well together, so I have to admit, I was upset when I found out Isla Fisher wasn’t going to be in the sequel. However, it’ll be exciting to see the new characters and how well they work together!

I thought it would be fun to just answer a few Halloween related questions. So here we go:

1) What was your favorite Halloween costume?

When I was a kid, I went as Pocahontas for 3 years straight! That was, and still is one of my favorite movies, so I loved that costume!

2) What is your favorite horror movie and/or TV Show?

I don’t really have a horror movie that I love to watch. I’ve seen so many, it’s hard to decide. Possibly Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Or the Halloween movies. As for TV Shows, this isn’t really scary(sometimes the episodes can be), but SUPERNATURAL! I think it’s a brilliant choice. Plus it’s on the tv right now as I’m typing this!

3) What is your favorite candy?

I love Twizzlers. I have an addiction!

4) How far would you last in a horror movie?

I would totally survive a horror movie because my ass would be out as soon as people start dying. PEACE OUT BITCHES!!!

5) Would you rather walk through a graveyard at night or spend the night in a spooky abandoned house?

That depends. Would the Winchesters brothers be with me in the abandoned house? Because I would so do that if they were. If not, the graveyard it is!

WHICH IS SCARIER?

– Werewolves or Vampires?

Vampires.

– Ghosts or Zombies?

Definitely Ghosts for me!

– Creepy dolls or creepy clowns?

 Both are creepy as hell, but I guess I would choose the clowns!

– Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, or Leatherface?

Without a doubt, 100%, Freddy freakin Krueger. I HATE him!

Mockingjay Part 2- Poster!

New Poster! How freakin awesome does this look! I can’t wait for this movie. It’s going to be bittersweet! What do you guys think? How excited are you for this movie?
