I always come across fun bookish memes and always love them! So I thought I’d share some of the meme’s I’ve come across.
(None of these are mine. I found them online and just thought I’d share)
I FINALLY got around to starting The Last Hours trilogy by Cassandra Clare.
I’m about 150 pages into Chain of Gold so far and I’m enjoying it. I’m already invested in these characters and I’m so glad to be back at the London Institute. Also I just love the cover. It’s GORGEOUS! I can’t wait to continue on!
Percy Jackson and the Olympians teaser trailer released a couple of weeks ago, and even though I’m a bit late with it(is anyone surprised?), I wanted to share it!
I was honestly surprised that we got a teaser so soon. They’re still currently filming so I really thought we would only get a very short glimpse or maybe some stills. But NO! We got a whole 50 second plus teaser!!! WHAT??? Just from this teaser, I’m already SO EXCITED for this show. I have high expectations, which may or may not be a good thing. Either way I’m very excited for a full trailer to be released!
Are you excited for the show? What did you think of the teaser?
So this is a very short and simple post, but I’m genuinely curious what your all time favorite book and/or books are? Because I know we don’t just have one! I was randomly staring at my shelves and was thinking which would I choose as my all time favorite stand alone and series? Then it got me thinking what would other people choose as their favorites?
So what would say is your favorite standalone? Series?
What about romance? Mystery? Thriller? Fantasy? Manga? and so on? Just share your favorite book(s)
I think it would be fun to share and we can find new books to add to our ever growing TBR pile!
I FINALLY decided to get into ITZY and WANNABE is the first song from them that I listened to and I think it was a great choice! Definitely a good one to get into! Now it’s time for me to get sucked down into the ITZY rabbit hole! Let me know what is your favorite ITZY song, or the very first song you listened to?
Goal number 1. Get familiarized with who is who!
Goal number 2. Listen to and watch all the videos!
See you on the other side!
I’m hear to talk about the drama Sisyphus: The Myth. (***This post may contain SPOILERS***)
First thing, I absolutely loved this drama. From the characters, relationships, story, I really loved it all.
Sisyphus: The Myth is about a war that breaks out leaving it completely destroyed. We follow our main character Seo Hae as she travels from 2035 back to 2020 to prevent the war. We follow the timeline of both the post war as well as present time.
The characters and the relationships were really great in my opinion. I found myself loving not only the main characters but most of the side characters as well, both good and bad. I loved how the villains were portrayed in this story, especially Sigma.
Seo Hae, played by Park Shin Hye, really surprised me with this character. And I think she portrayed her so well. She was such a badass character, and I absolutely loved seeing it! I loved seeing her time in both the present and the future and it was SO NICE to see a woman as the protector this time! The relationships that she built with people was fun to watch, but the relationship between her and her father was absolutely amazing. I loved seeing how that father-daughter relationship was portrayed in both the past, present, and future.
Tae Sul, played by Cho Seung Woo, was such a fun character to see played out on screen. I think Cho Seung Woo was a great choice for this character. He plays a brilliant CEO engineer who also happens to be struggling with the loss of his brother. He hallucinates his brother quite often, so we see him taking pills to stop it.
Kim Byung Chul who plays Sigma was absolutely amazing. I thought he was such a great villain, and every time he appeared I was wondering what he was going to do next. What he had planned. And the dynamic between him and Tae Sul was absolutely entertaining to watch. And adding Seo Hae in the mix made it better.
The crew of Asia Mart was also a lot of fun to watch. They become important parts to the story and with our main characters.
I was a big fan of the relationship between Tae Sul and Seo Hae. Personally I loved seeing them together and this relationship develop. And I absolutely loved seeing Seo Hae as the protector in this story.
This entire drama is very action filled, but we also get quite a bit of emotional moments between a lot of the characters. I was rooting for our leads to save the world and stop the war. I wanted to see it happen even though about halfway through I finally realized what the title meant.
I think why I loved this drama so much is because I didn’t take it that seriously. This deals with time travel, and obviously time travel is a very difficult plot to do well. So with movies and/or shows that do it I don’t take them all that seriously and am pretty lenient with how it’s portrayed. You have to be open to it, so because I was more open to what they were doing with this plot, I think I was able to enjoy it so much more.
I won’t talk about the ending here because I have an entire post dedicated to my thoughts on the ending of this drama. People have a lot of theories, and I share mine. If you would like to read that I’ll link it here—> Sisyphus: The Myth ENDING
Overall I really loved this drama. I know it has a lot of mix thoughts, and I would love to hear yours.
Jessi’s new song What Type of X is out and I’m obsessed! I became a fan of Jessi last year and have been loving her songs. I thought it would be hard to top NUNU NANA, but I think she did it! CHECK THE VIDEO OUT and get ready to become obsessed!
I’m taking a short, but necessary break from reading. I kind of burnt myself out in February. So I decided to watch a couple of shows.
I don’t watch many C-Dramas, but I’ve heard such good things about this particular drama so I decided to FINALLY check it out. When I’m writing this(I’m not sure if I will post this today or days from now), I’m currently about 30 episodes into this drama and I’m loving it so much! I can’t believe it it has taken me this long to watch this! This drama is my priority for the upcoming days!
This is one of my favorite shows and it came back last week so I have to watch the most recent episode. I’m excited to see the characters again, and see what happens.
This is one that I haven’t started yet, but it premiered at the end of February and I’m excited to start watching this show. I don’t watch many superhero shows anymore. I use to watch them all, but kind of fell off of it. But I’m excited to check out this show!
