Seriously, I can’t stop watching. I keep saying ”just one more episode’ and then it ends and I’m like ‘okay, one more’!

I would HIGHLY reccomend you checking it if you haven’t already! Although if you do, PLEASE make sure to look up the TRIGGER WARNINGS! This show is rated TV-MA – “TV for Mature Audiences” as it does deal with A LOT of mature content!

Favorite Dramas of 2022

I’m excited to share my favorite dramas that I watched in 2022. I didn’t watch as many dramas as I normally do, and I still have A LOT that I need/want to watch. But I thought I’d share what I enjoyed in 2022! As I was writing a quick reason why I loved these dramas, one thing you’ll notice is I love a drama with AMAZING CHARACTERS!!!

Semantic Error

This drama had me hitting play on the next episode as soon as I finished the previous one. It has a simple plot- university students- but one of my favorite tropes- enemies to lovers, and I was so invested. The actors did such a fantastic job with this!

River Where the Moon Rises

This was a surprise for me. I knew I would like this drama, but I had no idea I would absolutely love it. This was a drama where I stayed up WAY TOO late to finish, which is something that I haven’t done in awhile. I was so invested in the story and these characters! And I adored the relationship between the couple.

Crazy Love

Oh this drama! I LOVED this drama! I swear this drama had hooked! Kim Jae Wook and Krystal Jung were a perfect choice for these characters! I found myself laughing so hard at moments, and when the episode ends you’ll be wanting to press play for the next episode.

Why Her?

I know this drama has quite a bit of mixed reviews for it, but I ended up LOVING it. I was invested in the story and the characters, and the relationships! I have a full review talking about it, if you would like to check it out! Why Her? Review!

Not Me

This story was so interesting and the charcters were fantastic! All the actors did great, but Gun and Off’s protrayals were brilliant to watch. This was one where you wanted to keep watching for the story and the romance!

So those were my favorites of the year. As I said, I still have A LOT of drama’s that I want to watch, so hopefully I’ll have many more favorites this year!

May I Help You?

This is the last drama that I will be watching before the end of the year. Even though they’re only a few days left before the end of the year, I will definitely finish this drama since I only have 2 episodes left. I’m quite enjoying it as well!

I will be making a favorite list where I will share with you my favorite dramas of the year soon! I’m looking forward to it!

Quick Thoughts

So just a quick overview of my thoughts and then I’ll go into more details below. This drama is one where you will want to keep watching to know what exactly happened, and how it all plays out. This is a mystery, law drama, with romance. I was hooked from the very beginning. This story definitely kept me coming back! I was invested in the story, the characters, and how it would all play out. This drama was fine with the romance, but it would’ve been fine without it as well. People either love or hate the romance aspect. Personally, I enjoyed the romance aspect, but I can understand why people wouldn’t. This drama was definitely not perfect. It has its flaws, but overall an enjoyable one.

MAJOR SPOILERS AS YOU CONTINUE TO READ ON!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!!

Characters

So before I get into talking about what I loved, and what I didn’t really like. I want to specifically talk about the characters. I really loved all the characters in this story! The actors played their parts very well! The characters are intriguing, deeply flawed, and they show how corrupt the world can be. And what people will do for power.

Oh Soo Jae is such a strong woman, who gets put through hell and back. She gets tested at every turn and she always has to stay ahead of everyone. She is smart, and manipulating. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She also knows how corrupt the world can be. She also knows what needs to be done to get what she wants, and she’ll do it. Seo Hyun Jin’s acting in this is absolutely phenomenal!

Gong Chan is a character who is sweet, loyal, and kind despite everything that he has been through. His life has been turned upside down and he is trying to put everything back together again and find out the truth behind the incident that destroyed him!

Choi Tae Guk is a smart, calculating, manipulative man who has all the right connections, so he’s able to get what he wants. He will use whoever he needs to to make sure he gets power, and that he keeps the power. Heo Joon Ho plays the villain extremely well.

We follow these characters as they seek revenge, the truth, and in the midst of it all, trying to find happiness and redemption!

Now lets get into what I loved and what kind of bugged me.

What I Loved!

  1. As I said before the CHARACTERS! From the main leads, to the supporting characters. They were all absolutely outstanding. You love and root for our heroes, and absolutely despise the villains. Seriously, these guys were absolutely despicable and didn’t care who they hurt. The actors played their parts very well! And I’ll say it again, Seo Hyun Jin deserves every award. She truly embodied her character of Soo Jae and this particular character will definitely stick with me.
  2. The story. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire show. I was never bored, and was always wanting to know what would happen next. The storytelling gives you a lot throughout the 16 episodes. We have political intrigue, law, murder, mystery, corrpution, revenge, romance, friendship. SO MANY twists and reveals throughout. (Some people say too many, but it was fine for me)
  3. The romance! Now I KNOW, okay. I KNOW this is a very controversial opinion. A lot, and I mean A LOT of people did not like this romance, and felt like it didn’t need to be there. I agree in some ways. This drama would’ve been fine with or without the romance. But it was there, and I personally liked it. I thought they were both very good together, and Soo Jae really needed someone like Gong Chan in her life. I enjoyed watching this romance develop.
  4. OST! It also has a pretty good OST! I really enjoyed the songs throughout this show. A favorite of mine is What About Us by Hajin and I’m Here by So Jung!

What I didn’t like

(okay it’s not really that I didn’t like these things, they just bugged me a bit)

  1. When everyone found out who Gong Chan really was it felt like people were abandoning him. Especially Soo Jae. I knew she would be mad. He should’ve told her instead of her finding out like that. But why abandon him? However, as we continue to watch we find out that she really wasn’t that mad about him lying to her. She was mad because of what she did to him. She gave up on him and his trial in the end to save herself and her family. She was embarrassed, ashamed, and deeply regretted her decision, and that was why she acted that way to him when she found out who he really was. She was ashamed to face him. Once that was revealed, it made the way she was acting understandable.
  2. When Gong Chan saved Soo Jae when she got attacked in the building and he found the flash drive. Instead of handing it over to her like he should’ve done, he hid it from her to “protect her’‘. Really now? Soo Jae is a strong, badass woman who has been protecting herself way before you came into the picture. So why do you think she needs protecting? She knows way more than you. If anything, you’d probably end up making things worse. That part was a bit frustrating.

And that’s it. Those are my thoughts and feelings about this drama. It was one of my most anticipated dramas for the year, and I’m happy to say that at the end of it, I really enjoyed it! My overall rating would be a 4 out of 5!!!

Have you watched this drama yet? Do you plan to watch it? What are your thoughts?

My Favorite Dramas of 2021!

I watched a lot of dramas this year. The majority of them I enjoyed, and then they’re those that I LOVED! So I’m really excited to share with you some of my favorites that I watched this year. These aren’t drama’s that were released in 2021(well some are), but these are dramas that I watched this year! Of course they’re SO MANY drama’s that were released in 2021 that I still have yet to watch. I’m excited to watch them this year!

My favorite dramas of 2021 were:

Sisyphus: The Myth

I’ve already written two posts dedicated to Sisyphus: The Myth, so I won’t say anything more about is. I will link the posts and you can check out my entire thoughts there! Simply put…I LOVED IT!

Word of Honor

Word of Honor is a show that will keep you watching. It’s such an intense and interesting story, with a compelling plot and cast of characters. And overall, it was pure enjoyment! From the leads, to the fight sequences, it was a fun ride!

Law School

Throughout my watch of Law School I felt as though it had a How To Get Away With Murder(US tv show) vibe to it(which I really enjoyed), so it didn’t surprise me that I would end up enjoying this one! You find yourself so invested in it, and just when you think you’re going to stop watching for the night, BAM the ending ends with a cliffhanger, and you’re like “okay, just one more episode”. It’s absolutely addicing!

Happiness

I was really excited for this drama, and it did not disappoint. I was so invested in the characters and what would happen to them. This is one of the few drama’s where I believe it needed MORE episodes, because I wanted to see what happened with all of the characters at the end!

The King’s Affection

The King’s Affection was the last drama I watched in 2021, and I was so happy I ended the year with this one. I really thought I was just going to enjoy this drama, but I found myself so invested in the story, and the characters. I needed to know what happened and how it was going to end. For me, this was a great drama to end the year with and of course it made my list of favorites.

The Untamed

I might have to say The Untamed is my favorite drama that I watched in 2021. I loved everything about this drama. It was released in 2019, and on one hand I’m mad at myself for waiting so long to watch it, but on the other hand, I think I watched it at the perfect time for me, and it made the experience so much better! This is a drama that I will definitely rewatch over and over and over!

So these were my favorite dramas of 2021! Have you watched any of them? What were your favorite dramas of the year? I would love to know!

Currently Watching

These are the shows that I’m currently watching!

Lost In SpaceSeason 3

I’ve been wating for this final season and I was so excited to finally see the words “new episodes” show up on my netflix page! At the moment, I only have 2 episode left of this final season, and I’m excited to see how it all wraps up!

Hellbound

At the moment I’ve only watched one episode of this, so I don’t have much to say. I can say that I’m intrigued to watch the rest of it!

Drama Recommendation

I thought it would be fun to share one drama that I would recommend! I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m just going to share a synopsis from Mydramalist. The drama I want to recommend is:

LAW SCHOOL!

This drama was such a surprise for me. A really interesting story as well as interesting characters! You can find this on Netflix!

When a grim incident occurs at their prestigious school, justice through law is put to the test by a tough law professor and his ambitious students.

Yang Jong Hoon is a criminal law professor and a former elite prosecutor, whose harsh words make him the professor to steer clear of. At the same time, there’s something compelling about his strict teaching methods and his refusal to accept less than the best from his future juniors in the legal profession.

Han Joon Hwi, a first-year law student, is at the top of his class. He’s a natural leader whose good looks and easy charm make him the perfect man – on paper. However, there’s an unexpected side to him that remains well-hidden.

Kang Sol (A) is another first-year law student who overcame childhood poverty and hardships by gaining special admission to the school. She walks a path of thorns due to her constant sense of deprivation and shame amidst the wealth and talent that surrounds her. Eventually, her passion will enlighten her on what it truly takes to be a good lawyer.

Kim Eun Sook is a civil law professor who was once the head of the law school’s free legal clinic. Her natural air of authority and freewheeling personality earned her the reputation for being a master in court. Known for being a highly relatable professor, she is the sole colleague Yang Jong Hoon dares to confide in.

Move To Heaven

Move To Heaven follows the story of a father and son trauma cleaning company. They receive requests to clean out the belongings of people who have passed. Through doing that, they can learn about the lives of the decease and help them on their “final move”. With the unexpected passing of his father, Geu-ru has to take over the job with his estranged uncle Sang gu, who becomes his guardian.

This drama was a lot to take in. Every episode was very emotional and I found myself only able to watch one or two episodes before I needed a break. I found myself feeling everything for the characters.

I found my heart breaking and feeling so bad for characters that we only meet for one episode. When you’re watching their story unfold, you can’t help feel for them and what they missed out on. You truly feel for all the characters in this drama.

Geu ru is such an inspiring character. You can’t help but love his kind hearted, innocent self. He truly brings out the best in the people he meets. Sang gu is such a fascinating character. He comes off as very blunt, with this I-don’t-care attitude. Especially with Geu ru. Since he had a bad relationship with his brother, he doesn’t seem to care much for his nephew. At least that’s what he says, but his actions are completely different. Even though he speaks harsh to Geu ru, he is always helping him out with what he needs.

I truly believe with each episode, and each story, you will be affected in some way. And while every episode was amazing, some personal favorite episodes of mine include episodes: 5,7,8,9, and 10!
