Today, and this weekend, I’ll be rereading City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It has been quite awhile since I last read this book, so I thought a reread was due! Plus its 10 year bookaversary is coming up!

When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with odd markings. This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons–and keeping the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It’s also her first meeting with gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. For those of you who don’t know, this is the first book in The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. The same series the TV show Shadowhunters is based off of. Have you read this series? Do you watch the show?

So this weekend I’ll be reading American Sniper by Chris Kyle. Honestly, this is completely different from anything that I usually read. I rarely read autobiographies, but I saw this one at my thrift store for 50 cents and I couldn’t pass it up. I know a movie was made from this, which I have yet to watch.

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan (“the devil”) and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALs, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions. Gripping and unforgettable, Kyle’s masterful account of his extraordinary battlefield experiences ranks as one of the great war memoirs of all time.

This autobiography caught my attention and so far I’m 30ish pages into it and am quite enjoying it! Have you guys read this book? Have you watched the movie? What are your thoughts?

So this weekend I’ll be reading Sweet Hope by Tillie Cole. I’m so excited to be reading this story, and continuing on in this series. I became addicted to Tillie Cole books last summer and every since then, I’ve been making my way through her stories. This is now my 7th book by her, and I’m so excited to read about this characters story!

We first meet Ally is the first book in this series Sweet Home. Every since then, she has been a favorite of mine and I’ve been waiting to dive into her life! I’m not that far into this story yet, but I’m loving it so far!
