Book Review || Saga Volume 5

Title- Saga25451555
Author- Brian K. Vaughan
Pages- 152
Rating-  4 out of 5
Companion/Sequel/Other- 5th Volume

Marko as aligned himself with Prince IV, as both of them try to find there families. It’s a very uneasy alliance as they both seem to hate each other. However, when you have a common goal you try and work together. I really enjoyed there arc together. Mainly because we got to see Marko, and Ghus(whom I adore). We got to see Marko high as all hell, and get a view into his past.

Alana is with Klara, as they’re being kept by Dengo who also has the kidnapped Princeling and Hazel. He has called the Revolution to where they were to make a deal with them. Although nothing goes as planned and all hell breaks loose!

We also follow Gwtumblr_ncbd1dtkcz1tv4k5po1_500endolyn, Sophie, Lying Cat, The Brand, searching for a cure to save The Will! Trust me when I say, shit gets really weird in this storyline!

Ohhhhh and I just have one thing to say….Dragon jizz….Dragon freakin jizz. That is all.

As always this story has beautiful artwork, and amazing writing. The humor is on point, and the characters are wonderful! Throughout the whole story your so invested and just needing to know what happens next. As always, we are left on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to read the next volume!

Back into Reading

Hey there!

It has been awhile since I’ve posted anything on here. I’m sorry agiphybout that. I’ve kind of been in a weird mood these last few months, and haven’t felt like reading anything. This surely hasn’t been the first time this has happened, and it won’t be the last. However, I’ve been feeling like getting out of this mood, and I need some recommendations to help me. So let me know what you have been reading and loving lately!

So what have I been doing recently? Well at the end of August I started watching Battlestar Galacticbattlestar_galactica_introa(2003 version), and in September I finished it. I was hesitant to start this show because I honestly didn’t think I would like it. I’m so glad to say that I was completely wrong. I absolutely LOVED this show. It was everything you could want in a television show and more! I’m thinking about doing a Why I Love: Battelstar Galactica post so I can share all my love for it there.

Book Review || The 5th Wave

Title- The 5th Wave16101128
Author- Rick Yancey
Pages- 457
Rating-  4 out of 5
Companion/Sequel/Other- 1st book!

This will contain SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! This was my first Rick Yancy read, and I’m glad hat I picked this one! This book starts off with the others ship landing on earth. Everything was quite for ten days. After the tenth day…all hell broke loose.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. I knew it was about aliens and an invasion, but that’s all I knew. I really loved this take on the story. The waves and different stages of attack. I found myself wanting to keep reading, because I wanted to know what was going to happen. I could say it was the characters, which in some part it was. But.i really think it was Rick Yancey’s writing. There’s something about his writing that keep me invested!

The characters were fantastic. Going into this, I had NO IDEA this was told in different perspectives. Here I am reading from Cassie’s perspective, and then all of sudden it’s talking about someone being called Zombie. I was like what the hell? Afterward, it’s easy to differentiate whose point of view! My favorite to rawread from is Ben. I found his story to be the one that I was most invested in!

Cassie is such a strong, sarcastic and funny character! It was great to read from her and get her point of view of the invasion. We follow Cassie as she tries to get to her brother Sammy who gets taken to Wright Patterson(Camp Haven) a supposed safe zone! She goes through so much on the way including meeting Evan, the man who shoots and saves her!

Evan is cool, and very bad-ass, but also creepy in my opinion. When I was reading it I just found some of the things he did and said to be creepy. I like him as a character, but I’m hoping we get to read more from his perspective in the next book! Maybe I won’t find him to be as creepy!

Ben is my favorite! He’s strong, loyal and he makes a good leader. I loved his relationship with Nugget(Sammy). It was so cute! I loved that he went back for Team-Badass-3-the-vampire-diaries-tv-show-30723089-500-333Nugget when he found out the truth, and went back for Cassie at the end when he could’ve easily left her.

Speaking of the ending, it was my favorite part of this whole book! I loved how we were reading from the different perspectives and then it all comes together: Cassie, Ben, Evan, and Nugget(Sam). The ending had me pulled in, and Cassie, Ben and Evan make a hell of a team! I wouldn’t want to be on the bad side of them!

June TBR

Now, I normally don’t make TBRs. It’s not because I don’t like them, because I always LOVE seeing what other people want to read. I don’t normally do these because I NEVER, EVER stick to them. However, I really want to get back into reading this month. I haven’t read anything since February. I plan to set aside a few books that I REALLY want to get to, and will hopefully be able to fly through this month. I don’t plan on getting to all these this month, but that would be amazing if I did!

  1. Sweet Hope- Tillie Cole
  2. Lady Midnight- Cassandra Clare
  3. We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
  4. The Choice- Nicholas Sparks
  5. A Court of Thorns and Roses- Sarah J. Maas
  6. The 5th Wave- Rick Yancey

Cover Reaction- Deep Redemption

22107256

This is the fourth book in the Hades Hangmen series! The cover was revealed yesterday, and I was so excited to see it! Like the other covers in this series, I’m intrigued, especially with who could be hiding behind the tree? tumblr_n2amb4vRsJ1qj4315o1_500

As of now, a synopsis hasn’t been release! What I do know is that we can expect this to be like the other ones in this series. A dark, but beautiful story that breaks your heart mends it together, just to rip it to shreds again! And NO I’m not being dramatic!

I’m so excited to read this story on July 12th, 2016! And if you haven’t read the previous stories, you should check them out! If you have read them, you can check out my reviews below!

Trailer Reaction: Now You See Me 2

I was so excited when it was announced that a sequel to Now You See Me was going to be made! I really love the first movie, mainly because of how much fun it is! And from this trailer, it looks like it’s going to be just as fun!

I loved how all the characters/actors worked so well together, so I have to admit, I was upset when I found out Isla Fisher wasn’t going to be in the sequel. However, it’ll be exciting to see the new characters and how well they work together!

This paragraph really stuck out to me when I read Paper Towns and I thought I’d share:

“Did you know that for pretty much the entire history of the human species, the average life span was less than thirty years? You could count on ten years or so of real adulthood, right? There was no planning for retirement, There was no planning for a career. There was no planning. No time for planning. No time for a future. But then the life spans started getting longer, and people started having more and more future. And now life has become the future. Every moment of your life is lived for the future–you go to high school so you can go to college so you can get a good job so you can get a nice house so you can afford to send your kids to college so they can get a good job so they can get a nice house so they can afford to send their kids to college.”

This is a quote from Scarlet that always makes me laugh when I read it!

“A relieved grin filled up Thorne’s face. “We’re having another moment, aren’t we?”
“If by a moment, you mean me not wanting to strangle you for the first time since we met, then I guess we are.” Cinder slumped back on the floor. “Although maybe I’m just too exhausted to want to strangle anybody.”
