Percy Jackson and the Olympians teaser trailer released a couple of weeks ago, and even though I’m a bit late with it(is anyone surprised?), I wanted to share it!
I was honestly surprised that we got a teaser so soon. They’re still currently filming so I really thought we would only get a very short glimpse or maybe some stills. But NO! We got a whole 50 second plus teaser!!! WHAT??? Just from this teaser, I’m already SO EXCITED for this show. I have high expectations, which may or may not be a good thing. Either way I’m very excited for a full trailer to be released!
Are you excited for the show? What did you think of the teaser?
Fall tv is back so I thought I’d share some of the new and returning shows that I plan to watch, or check out!
Returning show I want to watch:
Law and Order: Special Victims Unit– One of my all time favorite shows that are still on the air. I’m very excited for the new season!
Law and Order: Organized Crime– Another one I will definitely be watching as it airs! I always enjoy Thursday night tv just for this and SVU!
The Walking Dead– I recently got caught up with the final season so I can watch the final eight episodes as they air! I’m really excited to see how they end this show. It’s sad that The Walking Dead is coming to end, but at the same time, they’re a lot of spin offs announced, so it won’t be completely the end.
New shows I want to check out:
Quantum Leap– This is a revival series, and although I never watched the original show, this looks interesting and I definitely want to check it out.
The Winchesters– Supernatural is one of my absolute favorite tv shows so I have to check out The Winchesters and see how it goes. I need to show my support! I’m hoping I enjoy it, but who knows. I want to give it a chance though.
Rings of Power– Okay, this show is already airing, but I have yet to watch it. I need to check it out asap!
Vampire Academy– A new vampire show! I have to say, I always enjoy a good vampire show. It seems like it’ll be good and just something fun to watch!
Those are the shows I plan to watch or want to check out! What fall shows are you planning to watch of check out?
The youngest partner at one of the nation’s most prestigious law offices, Oh Soo Jae has already proven she has what it takes to be one of the country’s best lawyers. Driven by her self-righteous principles and a never-ending desire to win, Soo Jae is well on her way to becoming one of TK Law Firm’s top attorneys. But when one of her cases takes an unexpected turn, Soo Jae is forced to watch as all of her hard work comes crumbling down around her.
So just a quick overview of my thoughts and then I’ll go into more details below. This drama is one where you will want to keep watching to know what exactly happened, and how it all plays out. This is a mystery, law drama, with romance. I was hooked from the very beginning. This story definitely kept me coming back! I was invested in the story, the characters, and how it would all play out. This drama was fine with the romance, but it would’ve been fine without it as well. People either love or hate the romance aspect. Personally, I enjoyed the romance aspect, but I can understand why people wouldn’t. This drama was definitely not perfect. It has its flaws, but overall an enjoyable one.
MAJOR SPOILERS AS YOU CONTINUE TO READ ON!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!!
So before I get into talking about what I loved, and what I didn’t really like. I want to specifically talk about the characters. I really loved all the characters in this story! The actors played their parts very well! The characters are intriguing, deeply flawed, and they show how corrupt the world can be. And what people will do for power.
OhSoo Jae is such a strong woman, who gets put through hell and back. She gets tested at every turn and she always has to stay ahead of everyone. She is smart, and manipulating. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She also knows how corrupt the world can be. She also knows what needs to be done to get what she wants, and she’ll do it. Seo Hyun Jin’s acting in this is absolutely phenomenal!
Gong Chan is a character who is sweet, loyal, and kind despite everything that he has been through. His life has been turned upside down and he is trying to put everything back together again and find out the truth behind the incident that destroyed him!
Choi Tae Guk is a smart, calculating, manipulative man who has all the right connections, so he’s able to get what he wants. He will use whoever he needs to to make sure he gets power, and that he keeps the power. Heo Joon Ho plays the villain extremely well.
We follow these characters as they seek revenge, the truth, and in the midst of it all, trying to find happiness and redemption!
Now lets get into what I loved and what kind of bugged me.
What I Loved!
As I said before the CHARACTERS! From the main leads, to the supporting characters. They were all absolutely outstanding. You love and root for our heroes, and absolutely despise the villains. Seriously, these guys were absolutely despicable and didn’t care who they hurt. The actors played their parts very well! And I’ll say it again, Seo Hyun Jin deserves every award. She truly embodied her character of Soo Jae and this particular character will definitely stick with me.
The story. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire show. I was never bored, and was always wanting to know what would happen next. The storytelling gives you a lot throughout the 16 episodes. We have political intrigue, law, murder, mystery, corrpution, revenge, romance, friendship. SO MANY twists and reveals throughout. (Some people say too many, but it was fine for me)
The romance! Now I KNOW, okay. I KNOW this is a very controversial opinion. A lot, and I mean A LOT of people did not like this romance, and felt like it didn’t need to be there. I agree in some ways. This drama would’ve been fine with or without the romance. But it was there, and I personally liked it. I thought they were both very good together, and Soo Jae really needed someone like Gong Chan in her life. I enjoyed watching this romance develop.
OST! It also has a pretty good OST! I really enjoyed the songs throughout this show. A favorite of mine is What About Us by Hajin and I’m Here by So Jung!
What I didn’t like
(okay it’s not really that I didn’t like these things, they just bugged me a bit)
When everyone found out who Gong Chan really was it felt like people were abandoning him. Especially Soo Jae. I knew she would be mad. He should’ve told her instead of her finding out like that. But why abandon him? However, as we continue to watch we find out that she really wasn’t that mad about him lying to her. She was mad because of what she did to him. She gave up on him and his trial in the end to save herself and her family. She was embarrassed, ashamed, and deeply regretted her decision, and that was why she acted that way to him when she found out who he really was. She was ashamed to face him. Once that was revealed, it made the way she was acting understandable.
When Gong Chan saved Soo Jae when she got attacked in the building and he found the flash drive. Instead of handing it over to her like he should’ve done, he hid it from her to “protect her’‘. Really now? Soo Jae is a strong, badass woman who has been protecting herself way before you came into the picture. So why do you think she needs protecting? She knows way more than you. If anything, you’d probably end up making things worse. That part was a bit frustrating.
And that’s it. Those are my thoughts and feelings about this drama. It was one of my most anticipated dramas for the year, and I’m happy to say that at the end of it, I really enjoyed it! My overall rating would be a 4 out of 5!!!
Have you watched this drama yet? Do you plan to watch it? What are your thoughts?
I’ve been wating for this final season and I was so excited to finally see the words “new episodes” show up on my netflix page! At the moment, I only have 2 episode left of this final season, and I’m excited to see how it all wraps up!
At the moment I’ve only watched one episode of this, so I don’t have much to say. I can say that I’m intrigued to watch the rest of it!
Move To Heaven follows the story of a father and son trauma cleaning company. They receive requests to clean out the belongings of people who have passed. Through doing that, they can learn about the lives of the decease and help them on their “final move”. With the unexpected passing of his father, Geu-ru has to take over the job with his estranged uncle Sang gu, who becomes his guardian.
This drama was a lot to take in. Every episode was very emotional and I found myself only able to watch one or two episodes before I needed a break. I found myself feeling everything for the characters.
I found my heart breaking and feeling so bad for characters that we only meet for one episode. When you’re watching their story unfold, you can’t help feel for them and what they missed out on. You truly feel for all the characters in this drama.
Geu ru is such an inspiring character. You can’t help but love his kind hearted, innocent self. He truly brings out the best in the people he meets. Sang gu is such a fascinating character. He comes off as very blunt, with this I-don’t-care attitude. Especially with Geu ru. Since he had a bad relationship with his brother, he doesn’t seem to care much for his nephew. At least that’s what he says, but his actions are completely different. Even though he speaks harsh to Geu ru, he is always helping him out with what he needs.
I truly believe with each episode, and each story, you will be affected in some way. And while every episode was amazing, some personal favorite episodes of mine include episodes: 5,7,8,9, and 10!
I’m only 2 episodes in so far, but I’m quite enjoying this one. It’s a pretty short one with only 6 episdes.
The Vampire Diaries (Netflix)- Rewatch
This is a rewatch for me. I was just in the mood for some Vampire Diaries and you can never go wrong with a Vampire Diaries rewatch!
I need to catch up with this show! I never finished the second season, so I started back from the beginning and am planning to finish it. Currently on episode 8 and I forgot how much I enjoyed this show!
Currently 6 episodes in and this show is emotional! I’m really enjoying it, but I’m also taking my time watching. I find myself not being able to binge this show, instead watching only 1 or 2 episodes at a time. With only 10 episodes, this will probably be the show I will focus on finishing first!
I’m hear to talk about the drama Sisyphus: The Myth. (***This post may contain SPOILERS***)
First thing, I absolutely loved this drama. From the characters, relationships, story, I really loved it all.
Sisyphus: The Myth is about a war that breaks out leaving it completely destroyed. We follow our main character Seo Hae as she travels from 2035 back to 2020 to prevent the war. We follow the timeline of both the post war as well as present time.
The characters and the relationships were really great in my opinion. I found myself loving not only the main characters but most of the side characters as well, both good and bad. I loved how the villains were portrayed in this story, especially Sigma.
Seo Hae, played by Park Shin Hye, really surprised me with this character. And I think she portrayed her so well. She was such a badass character, and I absolutely loved seeing it! I loved seeing her time in both the present and the future and it was SO NICE to see a woman as the protector this time! The relationships that she built with people was fun to watch, but the relationship between her and her father was absolutely amazing. I loved seeing how that father-daughter relationship was portrayed in both the past, present, and future.
Tae Sul, played by Cho Seung Woo, was such a fun character to see played out on screen. I think Cho Seung Woo was a great choice for this character. He plays a brilliant CEO engineer who also happens to be struggling with the loss of his brother. He hallucinates his brother quite often, so we see him taking pills to stop it.
Kim Byung Chul who plays Sigma was absolutely amazing. I thought he was such a great villain, and every time he appeared I was wondering what he was going to do next. What he had planned. And the dynamic between him and Tae Sul was absolutely entertaining to watch. And adding Seo Hae in the mix made it better.
The crew of Asia Mart was also a lot of fun to watch. They become important parts to the story and with our main characters.
I was a big fan of the relationship between Tae Sul and Seo Hae. Personally I loved seeing them together and this relationship develop. And I absolutely loved seeing Seo Hae as the protector in this story.
This entire drama is very action filled, but we also get quite a bit of emotional moments between a lot of the characters. I was rooting for our leads to save the world and stop the war. I wanted to see it happen even though about halfway through I finally realized what the title meant.
I think why I loved this drama so much is because I didn’t take it that seriously. This deals with time travel, and obviously time travel is a very difficult plot to do well. So with movies and/or shows that do it I don’t take them all that seriously and am pretty lenient with how it’s portrayed. You have to be open to it, so because I was more open to what they were doing with this plot, I think I was able to enjoy it so much more.
I won’t talk about the ending here because I have an entire post dedicated to my thoughts on the ending of this drama. People have a lot of theories, and I share mine. If you would like to read that I’ll link it here—> Sisyphus: The Myth ENDING
Overall I really loved this drama. I know it has a lot of mix thoughts, and I would love to hear yours.
