Want to Read || March 2023

Today I want to share some of the books I would like to get to in March.

I say “like to” because whenever I make TBR or post want to reads, I never end up sticking to them. Maybe this will be the time that I do!

Hearstopper Volume 3 and 4

I would like to finish my Heartstopper reread this month. I’m really excited to continue my reread and get back with this squad!

Chain of Iron

I read Chain of Gold in February and absolutely loved it, so I can’t wait to continue on. I definitley want to read a few shorter books first because this one is a beast and I need to prepare myself!

Five Survive

I think this sounds like it’ll be a good read. I really enjoyed her Good Girls Guide to Murder series, so I’m looking foward to another story by Holly Jackson!

I also plan to throw in some ebooks as well, although I’m not quick sure what book I will be in the mood for. Most of my kindle books are romance, so something from that genre!

And those are the reading plans.

What are your reading plans for March?

Update and End of the Year TBR

So December I really wanted to read a bunch of Christmas books and just have a fun time…but that didn’t quite happen. In fact, I’ve read absolutely nothing in December and I’m not thrilled about it. But to be fair, it really wasn’t my fault.

The first week of December I ended up getting the flu. That had me down for pretty much a week. It was completely miserable. Serisously fever, headache, dizzness, chills, sweats, nausea, loss of apetite, exhaustion. It was a complete shitshow. Then I got a bad cold after that(thanks to to flu. Apparently it’s common to get a cold after the flu because your immune system is weak.) But I lost my taste buds because of it, (only for a couple days) but I wasn’t happy. Finally the cold started going away, and I was glad. Then one night I ended up sleeping wrong and woke up with neck pains. Currently on day three of neck pains. Icy hot has been my best friends these last couple of days.

So to say December has been a not so great month for me would be an understatement. But I want to turn it around and at least get a couple of Christmas reads in before the end of the year. So I have a couple picked out.

Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison

A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams.

In an effort to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was a kid, she enters a contest with instafamous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, she might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s just one problem. To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on the application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only … there is no boyfriend.

Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just came home for some hot chocolate, and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process.

A Cat Cafe Christmas by Codi Gary

Veterinarian and animal lover Kara Ingalls needs a Christmas miracle. Opening the Meow and Furrever Cat Café to find loving homes for adorable, adoptable cats was a dream come true—but with more cats than customers, it’s quickly turning into a nightmare. If Kara can’t figure out some way to get the café out of the red, it won’t last past the holidays.

Marketing guru Ben Reese may be annoyingly smart and frustratingly bossy, but when he hatches a plan to put the café in the “green” by Christmas, Kara realizes that she’d be a fool to turn down his help. And so what if he turns out to be an excellent problem solver and nerdy-hot—he can’t even handle fostering one little kitten. She needs to keep their relationship professional and focus on saving the cafe.

But if Ben and Kara can set aside their differences—and find homes for all the cats by Christmas—they might discover that, by risking their hearts, they’ll have their own purr-fect holiday . . . together.

October (hopeful) TBR

I can’t believe it’s already October! I want to share my hopeful TBR. And I say hopeful because I’m always SO BAD at sticking to TBRs. However, they’re are some books that I do want to get to this month. We’ll see how this goes. Either I’ll read what I chose, or I’ll completey ignore it and choose some random books.

The books I would like to get to this month are(you can click the title if you want to know more about the books):

The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager.

I have this on hold at my library and it’s a pretty long wait, so I think the earliest I could get this would be the end of the month.

Mooncakes by Wendy Zu and Suzanne Walker.

A story of love and demons, family and witchcraft.

This just looks like a story I would really enjoy!

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins.

This has been on my TBR for some time now. I think this is also a movie, so it’d be a fun time to read this and then watch the movie!

Dead Silence by S. A. Barnes.

A GHOST SHIP.
A SALVAGE CREW.
UNSPEAKABLE HORRORS.

This is suppose to be a sci-fi horror, which would be a perfect choice for October!

Summer TBR

Normally, I don’t like to make TBRs because I never stick to them. However, I do like making summer TBRs because you have months to read the books. So I thought it’d be fun to share some books I would LOVE to get to this summer! Hopefully I do!

Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

The second book in the Aurora trilogy. I recently reread the first book Aurora Rising, so I would love to continue on with the sequel! I also really enjoy these two co-writing!

A Count of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

I’ve heard a lot about this series, and at this point I just really need to pick it up! This will also be my first Maas read.

Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

I’ve heard such great things about this trilogy, so I’m excited to finally get to it!

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Another one I’ve heard NOTHING BUT RAVE for and it’s absolutely embarressing that I haven’t read it yet. I NEED TO get to this ASAP!

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

I really enjoyed Red, White, and Royal Blue, so I’m very excited to pick up another book my this author!

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

Seeing all the news about the Percy Jackson tv show now filming, it really makes me want to continue on in this world! The next book I need to start is this one!

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

I was really surprised when I read Shadow and Bone! I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did, so I really need to continue on with this series(also need to watch the show)

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

This one just needs to get read ASAP! It sounds like everything I would love, so why haven’t I read it yet? I can’t even tell you!

The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin

This will be my first book by this author, and this one sounds like it’ll be enjoyable.

So these are some books I’m HOPING to get to this summer! Will I? Well, that is the question!

What book(s) are on your SUMMER TBR?

November “TBR”

So this past week I’ve been in this mood where everything I pick up is just not grabbing my attention. Even if it’s a book I know I’ll enjoy, I just can’t seem to focus. Usually I keep trying until I find something that does, or I just ride it out until I’m back in the reading mood. So this is a very short and simple TBR. And who knows if I’ll even get to it!

I’ve put two books on my TBR list for this month, and considering this weird reading mood that I’m in, we’ll see how it goes.

Want To Read || September 2021

A few books that I really want to get to this month!

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

I’ve had this on my TBR for quite some time now and I’m in the mood to read this type of story! So I’m hoping to get to it this month!

The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green

This is not a genre that I read a lot from. But I do enjoy John Green works. And I’ve heard good things about this one! I’m hoping to get the audiobook from my library!

Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman (reread)

This is a reread for me. I read the first two volumes earlier this year and absolutely loved them. My library FINALLY got volume three in, so I plan to reread the first two volumes again!

Romance Books To Read This Summer

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

I recently read Red, White & Royal Blue by this author and really enjoyed it. So I’ve been wanting to read another story by them!

Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about this series, so I’ve been wanting to check it out asap!

Beach Read by Emily Henry

This book has been on my radar for a while now!

Mango Summer by Agay Llanera

Honestly, I haven’t heard of this book before. I just randomly came across it and the synopsis sounds very cute so I decided to add it to my to be read pile!

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

I keep borrowing this book from my library, but never get around to reading it before I have to return it! I hope to get to it this summer!

These are just the romance books I want to get to this summer. I also have a list of other books as well that I will probably share soon! What romance books do you have on your summer list?

October TBR

So I’m getting back into reading and I thought I would make a post about the books I want to read is month. img_5158

I really want to reread Twilight by Stephenie Meyer this month! It has been awhile since I’ve reread this book, and Lately I’ve been in the mood for it.

I want to get to Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children this month since the movie is coming, or already is out. It seems like it would be an interesting read(and I’ve had this book on my shelf for some time now!)

At the end of this month, I’m hoping to participate in Deweys 24 hour readathon. I’m going to be getting some graphic img_5160novels from my library for that, but as of right now, I’m not sure which ones. However, I do want to read Saga Vol. 6!

Those are what I’m hoping to get to this month. What are you reading?

TBR || Graphic Novels

So I wen51veWQRX2wL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_t to the library today and picked up a bunch of graphic novels that I’ve been hearing great things about and wanted to check out!

I’ve been hearing great things about this graphic novels series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez and so I’ve been very interested in this! It seems like it will be a creepy read….I’m hoping!

Locke & Key tells of Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them. Home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all…

25451555

As most people are, I’m a fan of the Saga series! I just started reading these last year, and I finally got Saga Volume 5! I really wanted to reread Volume 4 so I could do a quick recap, but my library didn’t have it in. Either way, I’m so excited to get to this one!

Multiple storylines collide in this cosmos-spanning new volume. While Gwendolyn and Lying Cat risk everything to find a cure for The Will, Marko makes an uneasy alliance with Prince Robot IV to find their missing children, who are trapped on a strange world with terrifying new enemies. Collects Saga #25-30.

I’ve been really interested in the Rat Queens graphic novels since I saw some booktubers haul them. I was glad to see my library had 3 volumes in!

Who are the Rat Queens?
A pack of booze-guzzling, death-dealing battle maidens-for-hire, and they’re in the business of killing all god’s creatures for profit.
It’s also a darkly comedic sass-and-sorcery series starring Hannah the Rockabilly Elven Mage, Violet the Hipster Dwarven Fighter, Dee the Atheist Human Cleric and Betty the Hippy Smidgen Thief. This modern spin on an old school genre is a violent monster-killing epic that is like Buffy meets Tank Girl in a Lord of the Rings world on crack!

The Wicked + The Divine are the ones I think I’m the most excited to read! They seem like stories I wold absolutely love!

Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like Young Avengers and PHONOGRAM reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever.

June TBR

Now, I normally don’t make TBRs. It’s not because I don’t like them, because I always LOVE seeing what other people want to read. I don’t normally do these because I NEVER, EVER stick to them. However, I really want to get back into reading this month. I haven’t read anything since February. I plan to set aside a few books that I REALLY want to get to, and will hopefully be able to fly through this month. I don’t plan on getting to all these this month, but that would be amazing if I did!

  1. Sweet Hope- Tillie Cole
  2. Lady Midnight- Cassandra Clare
  3. We Were Liars- E. Lockhart
  4. The Choice- Nicholas Sparks
  5. A Court of Thorns and Roses- Sarah J. Maas
  6. The 5th Wave- Rick Yancey
