I read Cinder about year or so ago and thought it was an okay book. I wasn’t blown away with it, but I did enjoy it. It took me some time to read Scarlet, but after getting pressured by my best friend to read it, I FINALLY did and am so glad! I thought this book was SO MUCH better than Cinder, and I had A TON of fun reading this. If you follow me on Goodreads or Twitter, than you probably saw all my updates!

This book surprised me because I was expecting us to just follow Scarlet and Wolf, and maybe get a chapter or so from Cinder, but I was completely wrong! This book follows a bunch of different perspectives, but the main ones are Scarlet, Cinder, Thorne and Kai. Levana, and Wolf get about a chapter from there point of view as well. It was a ton of fun reading from each of there perspectives.

I really enjoyed27bea4110cf088c88d1e60076a43f944.500x375x6 Scarlet and Wolf’s adventure. Scarlet is looking for her grandmother who has been missing for a few weeks now and nobody seems to care. Scarlet is definitely a badass character, who isn’t afraid to take situations into her own hands. And she really loves her guns! She was a fun character to read about, but at the same time a bit annoying. What annoyed me the most was the fact that everything that came out of her was “my grandma this” and “my grandma that.” It was obnoxious at times because we know how much you love your grandma and how much you want her back. You don’t need to keep mentioning it. Damn! Then again that was the only thing that bothered me about her. Overall she was a great character. One that didn’t judge Cinder right away like everyone else did.

Wolf, I loved. He was different, and was never really able to sit still. He was always moving his legs, or fingers, or doing something. He was a very anxious character, who was able to eat like nobody I’ve seen before! And the chemistry between Scarlet and Wolf was amazing and fun to read about!

As much as I enjoyed Scarlet and Wolf’s adventure, Cinder and Thornes story was AMAZING! I had so much fun with them. Cinder and Thorne broke out of prison and are now escaped fugitives. Thorne, god I FREAKIN LOVE HIM! He is probably my favorite male character in the Lunagiphyr Chronicles! He was so much fun to read about. And CInder and Thorne work SO WELL together. They make such a BADASS team!

And we can’t forget IKO, who was programmed into Thornes ship. Or Kai who literally has every single problem thrown at him! And what he ended up doing at the end, I couldn’t believe it, however, I understood why he had to do it. Shit is about to get crazy in the next book!

What I enjoyed most about this book was reading about the connections between Scarlet and Cinder. It made the reading experience fun, and seeing them all come together was great! I think Cress is going to be absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see where this story goes. I WANT IT NOW!give_it_to_me

Then you’re going to love Cress because Thorne gets his OTP!! It’s really sweet to see how the romance progresses despite the odds stacked against each of the characters. Happy reading because Cress is also a roller coaster ride.
